Where is the school?
227 9th Street, between Washington Avenue & Collins Avenue in South Beach, Miami Beach.
Where do I park my car?
Free street parking weekdays, west of Washington Avenue (decals needed only at night) OR public garage on 7th Street (between Washington & Collins).
When do classes start?
Every Monday.
When are office hours?
Mondays thru Thursdays 10am-1pm or 5pm-7pm. Fridays 12pm-2pm.
Who are the teachers?
Dynamic, experienced, native-speakers. We understand that your teacher is the most important element of your learning experience, so we recruit & train the best language teachers in Miami.
What is covered in the classes?
Classes are a mix of conversation, grammar, vocabulary, reading/writing & pronunciation.
Are there quizzes/tests?
Quizzes are given periodically. Tests are given at the end of each level.
How long is each level?
Spanish: 8 weeks (part-time) or 1 week (intensive)
English: 8 weeks (part-time) or 4 weeks (intensive)
Are there certificates?
Yes, certificates are given on the final day of class and recognized by most employers. Ask your employer if they will compensate you for language classes.
Are there different levels?
4 levels.
How do I know my level?
Verbal & written tests available. Beginners start at 'zero' level. High Beginners know the basics (1-2 years previous study). Intermediates can follow conversation. Advanced students are conversational.
How many students per class?
Average 5 students. Maximum 9 students.
What are the ages/nationalities of the students?
All ages, many nationalities representing North America, South American, Europe & Asia.
How do I register?
Credit card via telephone (305-815-4271) or come to our center in person (credit card card, check or cash accepted).
Are there registration fees or other extra costs?
South Beach Languages never charges a registration 'fee'. The only cost is the class and $25 for the textbook.
What is the refund policy?
For any reason, a full refund is given the first week of class (minus hours taken). After the second week, credit is given, good for 1 year.
